| Whilst the launch of the new satellites will provide service improvements and reasonable quality of service in 2007, it is important that new customers wishing to connect to Globalstar do so with an understanding that there may be service gaps that vary with time and location and that these gaps and the incidence of dropped calls may increase during 2008. We understand that the uncertainty around the future medium term service quality will be of concern to new customers. In recognizing this, Globalstar Australia has decided to remove the 24 month minimum term obligation on the Gstar55 and higher plans for all new customer connections. The $200 connection fee for customers connecting to the Gstar35 plan will also be waived. Globalstar Australia will continue with this policy until such time that we have greater certainty about the future quality of the Globalstar service. |
